Hi there!

As an 18-year-old, I felt the Lord calling me into the mission field. I held onto this call as he took me through years of preparation, even though that preparation often felt like a broken promise. Finally, he told me it was time to go complete my Discipleship Training School (DTS) with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in January 2023, and I gave him my yes. When I sensed him asking me to return to my hometown following DTS, I was confused and walked through a dark and difficult season. But he is faithful and has helped me to see that giving him my "yes" can't just be big enough to go across the country or world; it has to be big enough to go back home, too. So here we are, learning what it means to be a hometown missionary.
